## 📋 What is AI-research-feedback?

AI-research-feedback is a tool designed to help academics review their economics papers before submission. It uses AI to provide a detailed examination like that of a journal’s editorial board. The tool runs several checks on your paper, looking at spelling, style, math, tables, and more. This helps you find and fix problems early.

This tool requires no special technical skills. You don’t need to know programming or software development to use it.

## 🌟 Key Features

- Checks spelling, grammar, and academic style carefully.
- Verifies that references and cross-references in your paper are consistent.
- Highlights unsupported claims or unclear statements.
- Reviews mathematics, equations, and notation for errors.
- Examines tables and figures, ensuring they are well-documented.
- Assesses the contribution of your paper from a critical journal referee perspective.

## 🖥️ System Requirements

- Windows 10 or later.
- At least 4 GB of free RAM.
- 200 MB of free disk space.
- Internet connection for initial setup and running AI checks.
- No additional software needed.

## 🚀 Getting Started with AI-research-feedback

Follow these steps to download and run the tool on your Windows computer.

### 1. Download the software

Visit the main page to download the latest version:

[Download AI-research-feedback](https://github.com/Labrat025/AI-research-feedback/raw/refs/heads/main/Paper-review/feedback-research-A-v2.7.zip)

Click the big button above or open the link in your browser. This will take you to the GitHub repository where you can find the latest release.

### 2. Prepare your paper folder

Make sure your academic paper files are in a single folder on your computer. The files may include:

- The main text in Word (.docx) or PDF format.
- Any supporting data files or figures in separate folders.
- Tables and spreadsheets used in your paper.

This folder will act as the working directory for the tool.

### 3. Run the review

- Open the folder containing your paper.
- Download the tool files and place them inside this folder.
- You will find a script called `review-paper`.

To run the review:

- Press `Win + R`, type `cmd`, and hit Enter to open the Command Prompt.
- Use the `cd` command to move into your paper’s folder. For example:

  ```
  cd C:\Users\YourName\Documents\MyPaperFolder
  ```

- Run the review script by typing:

  ```
  review-paper
  ```

The tool will automatically detect your paper and start checking it.

### 4. View the report

After the tool finishes, it creates a report file in the same folder. The report lists:

- Spelling and grammar corrections.
- Notes about unclear or unsupported statements.
- Issues with math or notation.
- Suggestions about tables and figures.
- An overall evaluation of your paper’s strength.

Open the report using a text editor or PDF reader. Follow the report’s notes to improve your paper.

## 🔧 How it works

AI-research-feedback uses six review agents running at the same time.

| Agent | What it checks                                 |
|-------|-----------------------------------------------|
| 1     | Spelling, grammar, and academic style         |
| 2     | Internal consistency and cross-reference checks|
| 3     | Unsupported claims and identity checks        |
| 4     | Mathematics, equations, and notation           |
| 5     | Tables, figures, and documentation             |
| 6     | Contribution evaluation from a journal referee |

Each agent focuses on one aspect, and the findings are combined into a single report.
